2012 – Indie Style Market + MemShop in Overton Square
From 2010 & 2011, the team produce one or two day markets all held in the South Main area. In 2012, we took a leap of faith and said “yes” to the City of Memphis who reached out to us about producing a month-long popup experience. This was a big change from how craft shows operate but – by the grace of God – we figured it all out. The end result was this popup generated over $65k in sales over three weekends.
2013 – Back to Overton Square
Our big event for 2013 was another month-long popup in Overton Square. By this time the renovations were almost completed and The Square was once again the place to go in Midtown. Operating a retail store as a side hustle was a lot of work as most of us had full-time jobs, but we LOVED it!
2014 – Back to Overton Square Again
By October 2014 there was still some unleased space in Overton Square so we were able to snag a spot for another Christmas Popup. This was one of our favorites in terms of how the design turned out. Thanks to the amazing Amanda Saucier who designed our window displays for us. We will be forever grateful for the Overton Square Team for hosting us for so many years.
2015 – Harbor Town
Overton Square was fully leased so we had to find a new home. Turns out the business that leased the last available space was moving from Harbor Town and still had a month or so on the lease there. Ivory Closet offered it to us and we went to Mud Island.
2017 – Gift at Saddle Creek
After a year hiatus, we were ready to popup again. This year we rolled out a new store brand for this popup in Germantown, TN – Gift.
